Being someone who constantly pushes herself out of her comfort zone, the first image is a fully healed warrior woman that Eliany did on her very own leg (along with everything else you see on her legs)…
“What I like the most about this piece is not only that it is a representation of war and love, discomfort and growth, material and depth, physical and spirituality, story and imagination, death and life… All the polarities this life brings but also serves as a reminder that all experiences, whether you chose to label them good or bad, are like a trail of breadcrumbs leading you back home to your pure self. And as you follow those crumbs, each one will ask of you something different or perhaps the same thing you’ve yet to apply…
May this serve you as a reminder that as you travel through life’s challenges you have the choice to become the victim or the unstoppable force you truly are,
a relentless warrior seeking truth through strength and curiosity,
steadily transforming thyself time and time again, facing the dark and embracing the light within
without running away in fear, without escaping, without disruption regardless of the distraction…
patiently and consistently making your way back home to you. “ -Eliany Espada
The next five images are all part of a Japanese themed sleeve she’s currently working on for a military client. The remainder of the images, are pieces she has done throughout the three years of her tattoo career.
